How is this place rated one of Pittsburgh’s best brunch spots? I’m only giving one star because you can’t give 0! Service was horrible, food was cold and overpriced, and of all things the Bloody Mary tasted like pure pickle juice. I asked the waitress, who was literally walking out the door to go home, if there was a problem because we had waited 1.5 hours for eggs and there were only about 7 ppl in the whole restaurant. She said, “this is normal” and that “they can only cook 3 plates at a time”! She was right. We got 3 out of 4 meals, no sides, and it was just eggs, nothing special. Next brunch will be home or the Grand Concourse. If I’m going to spend $40 for eggs and a Bloody Mary at least the chef will cook it to my liking while I wait and chat. Literally will NEVER go back!

I used to love this place. I live in Oregon and came here every single time I've been in town. The food is great and I've spent a ton of money every time. The last 2 times I've come in the service has been absolutely terrible. The first of these times there was practically no one there and we waited a half hour to get served and then an hour for our food. Our bloody Mary didn't come with the pickled things described in the menu. Last time I tried to go they turned us away even though it was still well within their hours of operation

Outstanding food, solid brunch. A little slow to get your food so not great if you are in a rush. But worth the wait! Good coffee and drink offerings as well.

Came here on the 4th of July for a quick breakfast as it was one of the few diners open in the area that day. The service was rushed, which is totally understandable on a busy holiday morning, however the server/waiter did not seem to be too present with our table or others. I ordered the tofu scramble which was overall not great and overpriced for what it was. The tofu was smothered in turmeric and the flavor was almost hard to get through towards the end. The avocado wasn't too fresh, either. The fruit served with the dish was a small slice of watermelon. There were no real redeeming qualities of the dish. My SO ordered a fruit platter which included watermelon, blackberries (an entire 2 of them) and a handful of soft blueberries - a waste of $5. The coffees and lattes were delicious.

The food was wonderful but the service was abysmal. Our waiter didn't really listen to us and didn't bother saying back our order which turned out to be a problem. We ordered a starter that we were informed was out after we waited for sometime and had ordered or main meal. At which point we decided to order the other starter available on the menu, which prompted us changing one of our main orders, prior to the order even being put in. And then we waited some more. Then our meal came out and we asked about the starter. Some time later the waiter came back out saying that he thought we hadn't wanted the starter anymore, at which point we said we did even if it was for dessert. Some time later while our plates were being cleared the manager was bringing our check so we asked after the starter we had ordered again (and which was on our check). She apologized, said she'd take it off our check, and would make sure it came out. She left and after a little while the waiter came back and told us he was sorry the starter was taking so long, did we still want it? We told him what the manager said and he had no idea this had occurred. It's a small restaurant, there should be more communication. The busser came with our check, and then the manage came with a different check. And then we got our starter to go. Brunch should be relaxing, you should come out of it happier then you came in, this is not what happened.
