This place is my new favorite restaurant, and I lived in Philly for 15 years and went to some great places there. The decor is entrancing and makes you feel at home. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone was working to serve and clean tables, including what looked like management, a good sign of quality to me. The drinks are great and reasonably priced. And most importantly, the food was amazing. Make sure you get the chocolate souffle.

A wonderful dining experience! Service was on point and so friendly, even with a super busy Saturday night dinner service. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Cheese plate appetizer was delicious. I will come back again and again!

The only possible criticism I can level at Poulet Bleu is that our steak was over-salted. But otherwise, everything at Poulet Bleu—the ambiance, service, drinks, and food—was spot-on. For example, the French onion soup was the best French onion soup I've had anywhere—and that includes in France. Reservations are difficult to obtain, but it's worth the effort, because Chef DeShantz has set the bar for French cuisine in Pittsburgh.

Great food. Great cozy French Bistro atmosphere. I lived oversees in French influenced Belgian cities for many years. It was a nice taste memory taste. Professional staff. Highly recommended the souffle.

Outstanding French style cuisine. Friendly and professional service. Open kitchen for viewing. Full bar. Recommend French onion soup with oxtail and chocolate souffle for two. Parking can be a bit difficult due to limitations on Butler St.
