12$ a night, sites are pretty good and have a barbecue as well as a fireplace nearby. There's also a small creek, lots of trees and basically free firewood. Only downside is that it's not the cleanest, especially regarding the restrooms.

Great place, the brook is really nice. We also had a bear come to the edge of camp. Blond back black bear. He has a yellow tag , whatever you that means.

I wasn't expecting the campground to be packed out midweek. Otherwise I believe this campground is just a little too spaced from any activities like hiking. The camp is beautiful no doubt, its location on the other hand leaves much to be desired for those who want to explore more than just the campground.

This place is such a little gem in the San Gabriel Mountains! As some of the previous reviews mentioned, the brook runs through most of the camps, which is super nice. My bf and I had a great time playing in it; the downside was that a lot of other campers kept coming over. It was also a great place to watch stars at night- so peaceful and serene. Little critters paid us several visits at night; their rustling kept us on the edge, since we were aware of a bear attack in those mountains a few weeks back. It's important to know that not all campsites are the same size. I think our site was one of the bigger ones; there were others where the parking spots were bigger than the site itself. Most of our neighbors seem to pack up around 10 or 11 AM, although as we can attest, coming early doesn't mean getting the best spot [my bf and I got the last available spot]. Check out is 2pm. Lastly, some of the reviews said there is lot of fire wood. We found a lot of tinder, but not enough big logs to sustain ourselves for the night, so we drove up to Crystal Lake [approx. 8 miles north] for some. The store aka the cafe sells them by the wheelbarrow for $20. Even though it seems a lot, it was just enough for the evening [we slept at midnight, so the fire burned for 6hrs]. We also used it to cook, since the grill over the fire pit kinda disappeared.
