I seriously cannot complain about anything. The building was so clean, perfectly cooled, beautifully decorated.  The bed so comfortable and the horses outside were really friendly and happy to meet us.  

The breakfast has to be my favorite part.  I had an omelette which was perfection and my fiancee has an egg allergy so he made a pancake for her, and I tried some of her's and I couldn't even believe a pancake could taste that good.  Along with that; Parisian coffee, fruit and yogurt, various fruit preserves and spreads and even more.  And this was all one breakfast, we were leaving Georgia after a long field season and wanted to have one relaxing night before a long drive.  Now we can't wait for next field season we want to come early to get to stay more than one day!  

You can tell they put so much work into and have so much pride for everything they do.  They are so friendly and I just cannot wait to stay there again.

Simply wonderful! I've stayed twice now with my daughter and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Athens! The Colonel himself is an amazing host and the breakfasts are delicious, especially the pancakes!

I had the pleasure of staying in the bridal suite at the colonels the night of my wedding. Colonel Marc was very kind (and also an excellent cook!). We were sincerely told congratulations multiple times. The grounds were beautiful! The room overlooked the pool, large trees, and a lovely pasture of horses. We could faintly hear a woodpecker getting ready for breakfast. I immensely enjoyed the clawfoot tub in one of the two adjoining bathrooms. Our stay was very relaxing and much needed. I highly recommend The Colonel's.
