For several years I have stayed at Best Western when traveling to Athens. In fact, it is a regular stop for me. The staff are very polite, manner-able, and best of all they remember your name when you show back up. The beds/rooms are clean, internet is great, and within good walking distance to the many amenities downtown and even closer. When I go to Athens, Best Western is always my first consideration. With the new facilities being developed, I am sure this place will get even better!!

that place has always been a drug/drama den,the police is called all the time.the rooms ceilings aren't finished or need redid u have to reorganize the room use the plugs.the only best thing is the water is super hot.

Upon entering the room, we immediately discovered mud tracks throughout the room leading into the bathroom, dead bugs on the floor, and every surface was dusty and grimy. We thought that was pretty bad, but it was only until we uncovered the beds when we realized the worst of it. Stray hairs and crumbs in the sheets of both beds and small blood stains on the pillowcases made it obvious that the sheets were not cleaned. After that discovery, we called the front desk to make them aware of the problems and they sent a housekeeper up to the room to clean it as we left for dinner. When we arrived back to the room later that night, we noticed the same hairs and crumbs in the sheets and stained pillowcases, not to mention the mud tracks still on the floor. The "housekeeper" literally just put the top sheet back on the beds and thought we wouldn't notice. Again we called the front desk to notify them, and she assured us that she replaced the sheets (a blatant lie). At that point we were so tired that we just toughed it out and slept on the gross sheets and showered in the morning. When we went to check out, we told the new front desk girl of our issues, and got no response but "okay" and a smile and nod to make us feel better. Absolutely no apology, solution, or refund was offered... Overall a terrible, disgusting experience and would not recommend to anyone. Don't let the affordable price fool you, it's not worth it.

I wish I could give zero star. This is the worst hotel I've stayed. Non smoking room was smelling smoke. We wanted to change the room. But new room smelled really bad as well. In both room, there were cigarette burns on the bed spread. Sprinkler and A/C were in dust. It was really hard to understand the bath tub and faucet. Instead of renovation, they should demolish the building and build it again. I am sure it would be cheaper and more effective than renovation. In this situation, listen reviewers and do not stay here. Only good thing about this place was the woman on reception. She was nice and helpful.

They are very unprofessional. They quote you different rates everyday.
