Story

Salon owner and stylist, Jeff Lester, boasts a family history deeply rooted in the beauty industry; Jeff spent much of his youth in his grandmother’s salon. Nell Lester opened her beauty shop in 1934, and successfully operated her two-chair salon for 64 years in Eden, NC. Cousins and mentors, Wayne and Bradley Tuggle, followed in her footsteps and Jeff accompanied them to hair shows and salon events. Bradley, too, eventually opened his own salon in Greensboro, NC.

Jeff graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in Communications, subsequently spending several years managing local businesses and projects. He made the move to up and coming Morrisville and in 2006 continued the family tradition when he opened the doors to Color Salon & Day Spa.

Jeff is a graduate of Paul Mitchell, the School, in Raleigh. To remain current with industry trends he’s continued his styling education through the Wella Studio in NYC; Bradley Tuggle owner of Boho Salon; Bumble and Bumble in NYC; Wayne Tuggle of the Michael O’Rourke design team; and Brandon Shin of the Frédéric Fekkai design team in NYC.

Color Salon & Day Spa has become a vital business in the Morrisville/Cary community. Every one of Color’s design team members invests a genuine interest in helping their clients achieve a look they love by encouraging personal consultations.
