We have traveled 85% of the United States in the last 13 years and have seen good and bad RV park's and I must say this park all around is one of the best one . Richard and Stacy are very fare and always trying to please everyone witch is impossible. The staff is great also. We always feel at home here and have met a lot of great friends from all over the USA. I would recommend this resort to any and everyone. They really go all out with activities for the whole family's without nickel and dime you for everything like all the other parks. Thanks again

Signed up for a shot at the free three day, two night getaway at Colorado Heights while visiting Camping Word in Fountain. They called to tell me I won. I called back a few days later (spoke with Ted) and realized I had to attend the 90 min presentation (time share) to get the stay for free. I figured what the heck, I'll do it. I asked if I could bring a family member who would also be willing to attend the "tour" with his own rig, both full hook-ups - was told yes. This was 7/12/17, check in was 7/21/17, I was advised I'd get a post card in the mail with the pertinent info. On 7/19/17, still no postcard so I called and asked about my reservation, was told they didn't have me down for the coming weekend but someone would call me back. Larry called back, I told Larry about my conversation with Ted, he said they normally don't schedule two rigs at a time to do the tour but he'd have Ted call me back. Asked if I'd be willing to pay for one spot - if the paid spot didn't have to attend the "tour." I said yes. A few min later Ted called back and said my reservation had "fallen through the cracks" and their systems "aren't automated yet" but could only get us two spots but not full hook-ups. I thanked him for his time, but this wasn't what was originally promised. All he said he could do was apologize. Apology accepted, but you will not get my business.

Have been a member for many years. Even though there is a lot of build up in the area it still has the feel of being away from it all. During the summer on the weekends there is always some activity to join in on. Food, horseshoes, craft fair time, bon fire, kid activities plus all the things you can do during the week like swimming, volleyball and the miniature golf is just plan fun just to mention a few. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Most of the sites are wooded with pine trees. The expansion area for bigger rigs is gravel and is above the main park. The advantage is the view of the mountain range from some points up there. It has a great family feel and the option of solo time as well. If you are looking for relaxation at your own pace this is a great place to be. If you like sight seeing this park is a great starting point.

Wished we knew the place was shutting down for the year before we got there, but when everything is open the place seemed very nice and well kept.
