Everything was great but we got in late, just before midnight. I had already reserved the room and paid online for it. The night clerk was on the phone when I got there. I heard her half of the conversation so I know it wasn't a customer on the other line. She made me wait over 5 minutes before she finally said to her friend "Well I have to left you go I have a guest to check in." I was tired and didn't need  any hassles so I took the room key and went to bed unhappy. If I ever have to stop in Sault Ste Marie I will definitely think twice before I go to the Comfort Inn.
Just increased to 4 stars because I was going to stop there again over a year later because they are pet friendly and I was going to southern Ontario to pick up a puppy. I made the reservation for a ground floor room/pet friendly room for myself and my travelling partner. As it turned out though I didn't go (due to the flu) but my grandson/travelling partner went and said everything went well. 
Just an FYI make sure you reserve your room well ahead of time because they go fast and a lot of the other places will allow dogs but only service pets.

The bed sheets were dirty. Food stains, food pieces, and black hairs everywhere. I had to change my own sheets and pillowcases. Apparently it was only deserving of $10 off.

What a wonderful home away from home, everything  perfect from a very clean comfortable room to morning breakfast. Breakfast always fun and entertaining ,with the staff (Judy) always making the start of the day bright and cheerful.I hope i have the name right but regardless she is the beautiful young at heart sweetest person you will ever meet.The personal were always near by to help in any way possible making sure we had everything we needed, also helping with directions or places to eat or to visit.We had great wifi..fridge..coffee maker..i even think a micro wave though never got around to using it as well as cable tv. The Inn is walking distance to many shops and restaurants.The only thing that was missing was Judy didn't come up to tuck us all in at night..oh well almost perfect.Just like to mention when some people write a review they do not realize how much other people as well as the business relies on them.For example someone complained the room was cold when they entered..as was ours...we put the heat on and instantly the room grew comfortable enough to turn it back off after a few minutes...so remember the Inn is trying to keep the costs down for me and other travelers..wasting heat on an empty room  is not smart..so thanks Comfort Inn for thinking about my costs and keeping the rates as low as possible.Five stars to the staff and the Comfort Inn.And once more thanks for making us feel like family and at home..many friendly greetings from Ottawa.

We were stuck in the Sault overnight Christmas Eve and honestly couldn’t have had a better place to stay. The staff was unbelievably friendly. Christmas morning they had an incredible free breakfast for us prior to us leaving. The rooms were affordable and modern. We had our dog so had a pet room but still very clean and well taken care of. We usually would never have to stay overnight in the Sault but this would be the place to stay.

Best sleep I had the entire trip from PEI to Alberta. The most amazing comfortable beds. Clean room. Quietest. Steady soothing sound of the heater. Perfect temp control. Darkness. Zzzzzzzzzz
