Story

The Microtel was built using modern European styling, and includes features like in-room USB charging stations, smartphone-compatible speakers for playing mp3s, and comfy-yet-functional window seating. Each room boasts quality mattresses designed exclusively for the Microtel chain of hotels, which allow each guest the comfort and warmth of a home-away-from-home.

There are several styles of room available: a single queen bed, ideal for the one-night-stay traveler, two queen beds for families, executive suites with 1 queen bed and couch, as well as jacuzzi suites for guests who want to relax and unwind. All rooms include microwave, fridge, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, and various toiletries.

We are partnered with Wacky Wings Eatery & Bar located next door to us -- receive 10% off your meal (excluding alcohol) plus free delivery right to your hotel room! Our free breakfast -- which guests rave about -- includes a variety of delicious items, including scrambled eggs & bacon. Rooms are nice and modern but it can't make up for poor customer service.  I travel lots for work and the company I work for pays for the room and incidentals via virtual card. When I was checking in after a 14 hour work day the front desk refused to accept the virtual card for incidentals. Even when I offered to email the copy of the letter of authorization which clearly states that the card was to cover the room and all incidentals, the answer I got was "well anyone can write an email".  Considering there is company marquis and signature lines it's clear it comes from the company who is paying the bill.  Was talked down to and felt like I was being scolded like a young child. Almost told them to forget it and I'd go to another hotel that I usually stay at but just wanted to check in to catch a few hours of sleep before having another long work day and long drive to the next city. Paid the incidental fee by debit and was assured it would be returned upon checkout. Yes it was returned but was made to feel as though we were second class citizens as they had to verify everything was fine in the room.  I will never stay here again for a personal stay or on a business stay just based on the attitude of the front desk staff on checking in and out. Front desk personnel is your first impression of the place, when they fail and treat you horribly, then you as a hotel, regardless as to how new or upgraded it is, have failed.

Comfortable rooms and the closest hotel to the hospital. The staff was outstanding. The convenient location makes for a short walk to the hospital.

I was falsely accused of stealing a remote and charged $28.00 for it! I have been a loyal customer from the time the Soo location has opened and stay there many times a year. The manager needs to check statistics on employee theft if he can't find room remotes. Beware all!

Very clean, very comfortable, very reasonably priced. I always stay here when in town for the night and I have never found anything worth complaining about.  The quality is far above its price point.
