Story

The Community Value and Thrift Center teams with Storehouse Ministries to benefit the A. Fern Norville Foundation and Kaufman County Children's Emergency Shelter. We are accepting donations of clothing, furniture, appliances, electronics, household items, kitchen supplies and more. If you are unable to bring in your unwanted items please call to schedule a donation pick up!

When you donate to us or shop with us you become part of something bigger; helping a child in need! Please come check us out!

Small well organized thrift store. Notable features include: furniture selection, baby equipment, brand name room, inexpensive books and movies, clean changing rooms and restroom. Recent change in management has brought new layout and "more competitive pricing" but there are still deals to be found. Especially love the store kitties!

I used to LOVE this store. Lately it has changed its image I suppose. Prices are higher than ever. They've stopped the color tag sales. I laugh when I see something from DOLLAR TREE priced at $1 or more. Also, they changed the store hours. Not knowing, I walked in at 10 til closing. Rude salesgirl states, "You have 10 minutes." No hello, nothing. Needless to say, probably will never return.

Forney local - have always loved this store up until the new management. Hours are now 9A-5P. They rudely go around announcing the store is closed - and they will kick you out. The staff used to be really kind - very customer service oriented. I feel like that’s been lost in translation since new ownership. I’ve shopped here at least 20 times. I like to give places benefit of the doubt before writing a low-star review, especially one benefiting the community. Unfortunately, after all the poor experiences, this place isn’t my favorite, anymore! Pros: - Good thrift finds (on a good day) - Location / right off 80 Service Road - Clean / organized - Occasional rare antique find Cons: - Rude staff including the owner, except the one woman with glasses at checkout (she’s ALWAYS kind) - Inconvenient hours if you have a day job (9-5) - Sporatic pricing / sometimes higher than the actual retail it was originally bought for NWT

I love this store! They help so many kids and also find a way to recycle even the things people bring that they cannot sell. They will come get large donations. Everyone is so friendly too. A true ministry in every sense of the word to this community!
