The FIRST Reform Congregation in Seminole County
This is a congregation that welcomes all visitors and newcomers with open arms. We recently celebrated our 25th anniversary and congregants told the reasons they joined and the reasons they stayed. Every story, every single one, contained the same thread. When they walked in the door, people were friendly, kind, interested. And in times of trouble, the members here pull together to help immediately and without any restrictions. Most would quite literally do anything to help out another. Our children grow up together through Religious school and remain friends into adulthood, and now our second generation is taking leadership. Congregation Bet Chaim is a hidden gem that deserves the chance to show it's true nature.
We meet weekly for Shabbat services Friday evenings at 8pm at Songbirds Music, Art, & Dance Center
Congregation Bet Chaim
Mission Statement
Congregation Bet Chaim, established as a response to individual needs, is committed to a Reform approach in expressing Jewish identity.
Bet Chaim is a religious community of dedicated and compassionate Jews, enriched by each member’s care for one another and for our Jewish Heritage. We believe that membership is synonymous with involvement; our members demonstrate their commitment by participation in all facets of temple activities including ritual, service, education and self-growth.
Bet Chaim’s focus is on individual and family participation in religious observances. We strive to provide meaningful educational experiences for members of all ages. We seek to promote continuity by teaching, learning and integrating observances which lead toward Jewish growth and enrichment.
Our goal is not merely to exist as Jews, but to live as Jews. We make every effort to translate traditional values and beliefs into our daily lives. Torah (study), Avoda (worship), Tzedaka (charity) and Ma’asim Tovim (good deeds) are part of our applied consciousness, not merely academic concepts.
L’dor V’dor (from generation to generation), Bet Chaim will be committed to perpetuating an environment that is supportive of individual merit and Torah based values.
Shabbat services Friday evenings at 8 pm. High Holidays, other holidays, dinners and events.
