Message from the Chief of Police
Public Safety and Public Service are top priorities for the men and women of the Corona Police Department. The department has a staff of over 200 employees, including officers and support staff. Together, we are responsible for the protection and safety of Corona’s approximate 153,000 residents and visitors.
The Corona Police Department utilizes Comp-Stat policing practices in-order to remain proactive to the needs of the community. The department believes in partnerships, both with the public, as well as with private and government agencies, to further its adopted mission to enhance the quality of life for the community through excellence in policing.

*Train all personnel towards excellence. Develop all personnel to their fullest capacity.

The intended purpose of this site is to serve as a means of communication between the Corona Police Department and members of the public. The City’s social media site articles, posts and comments containing any of the following forms of content shall not be allowed and shall be removed as soon as possible:
-Profane language or content or content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation
-Sexual content or links to sexual content
-Solicitations of commerce
-Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity
-Information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems
-Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party. Users shall be informed by posting to the City’s social media sites that the City disclaims any and all responsibility and liability for any materials that the City deems inappropriate for posting, which cannot be removed in an expeditious and otherwise timely manner.
-Political endorsements or campaign material in favor or against a candidate running for any elected office.
