The salad was amazing! I happened upon Costa Vida like many probably do, leaving the Target parking lot. The price seemed high but the portions where huge. In the drive thru, I asked what was recommend and got the most thorough breakdown of a menu I've ever had. The guy helping was so amazing that it earned about 2 of these 5 stars, although the food could have equally carried the weight.

The food was served at a very Luke warm temperature which was illegal due to bacteria growth. The tiny shreds of cheese didn’t even melt. The corn shells were doughy. The help was even a bigger issue. I wish I would have know my enchiladas came as a dinner instead of an after thought as I was paid and leaving. Then she finally adds did you want the beans and something else with it!! Excuse me!! You’re asking now,!! Why wasn’t I asked when when you took my order. You’re gonna open my package now when I’m paid and ready to leave then add it?? This pissed me off the most. I tried to ask the cashier if it was suppose to come as a dinner and she just didn’t understand what I meant. Just starred at me doe eyed. If the food was hot and the help was better it wouldn’t be bad.

The burritos are a decent size, but I ordered the bowl and it was quite small for over $10. To add insult to injury they even charged me extra to get the ranch on the side in case I didn't like the flavor. They put the bowl in the warmer and I made the mistake of adding lettuce so I ended up with some sloppy mess that was a cross between soup and warm lettuce.

Not vegetarian or vegan-friendly. I'm surprised that in today's modern restaurant world, the owner of this restaurant didn't think to have one vegetarian option on the menu. I ordered a baja bowl with veggies, which basically meant a full-priced meat entree without the meat. Guacamole wasn't even included. My meal was over-priced and disappointing. An easy fix for the owners to consider would be to consider adding more vegetables and guacamole for a vegetarian baja bowl for the same price. I've never had an issue finding something substantial and delicious to eat at any other Latino or Mexican restaurant, and this one stands out in a negative way.

I am excited that this just opened up! I've been to this place in a few different states and in Canada. Every one I have been too had been amazing and this one is no exception. I recommend everyone go here! If your getting anything here it's all great! Even better if you get their sweet pork!
