The first day manager nicknamed Danny was terrific at both the reception and informing us about the policies I was very impressed up to this point she also noticed that I was using some of the many thousands of points I have earned for this particular stay. After this point I would have left a five star review immediately. But now here comes the problem. Shift change occurs and the night manager has determined that the sign that says the pool is closed is also the sign for the rest of the entire property and that no one can be in the backyard after 10 (despite lack of any noise being generated). When questioned about the sign that is clearly designated only for the pool and when asked to show any documentation that could show why I could not have a cigarette in the back. His response was that the owner has said that nobody could be there and suggested I go off the property. Do you think that's the safest thing? To actually suggest to your guests that they depart the premises that seems like that could generate some serious legal problems. Customers like me come to the Marriott for the quiet and the security of the courtyard. I am sure that this was a big misunderstanding on his part, but still overall a disappointing stay.

Was in town for a women's conference and stayed here. Very clean and comfortable. Staff warm and friendly.

How refreshing to be greeted by Julian at the front desk who was smiling and ever so eager to help us in finding a cart and providing us with information. He was quick to get us checked in and overall very helpful. This hotel is clean and fairly well maintained. The bistro menu could be improved with more vegetarian options as well as faster service.

This hotel is conveniently located just a couple blocks off I5 in Stockton. It's in a quiet location as a result. The desk staff are friendly and the hotel is quite modern, having been renovated. The beds are soft, the TVs are flat, and my room had a fridge. There's not much within close walking distance, but it's a rather short drive. Parking is a bit of a pain when the location is full. This is exacerbated by the fact that it starts the property with another Marriott property, as is common. I would stay again.
