I was here for lunch in May.  This spot is at the terminus of the Great Allegheny Passage Bike Trail and has an outdoor patio where we sat.  It was definitely busy, but the service was friendly and speed of delivery of food was adequate based on how busy it was.

I was with three others and all said they enjoyed their food.  I had a couple ribs and the Combo Crab soup (Maryland Crab and Cream of Crab in the same bowl) and both were quite good.

I read through a bunch of the 1 and 2 star reviews for the Crabby Pig and can understand why some were unhappy but I think whenever you go out to eat (with the possible exception of truly fine dining) you have to have some patience and expect a less than perfect experience.  

That said, this is not "fine" dining but I thought it was fine dining.  I'd say give it a try.

Sat at outdoor bar for almost half an hour, no service and when they finally came they were very rude and ignored us. Definitely for tourists, and the service was not what we expected in a small city. They need more staff. We went to Jack's instead and had a wonderful time. From Baltimore, so we can get crabs and seafood back home.

We stop at Crabby Pig every time we drive through Cumberland. We always time our road trips so it's at meal time. Enjoy the menu and service is usually great. Bonus points for being dog friendly so our furry friend gets a break as well. Extra bonus points that it's near a play ground. Double extra super bonus points when a train passes by and our son goes bananas! Haha.

Excellent food & service.  We had ridden the WMSR that morning and then did some on-foot exploring of Cumberland.  Our party of 4 rolled in around 4:30PM and outdoor seating was mostly filled, but only one other small group was inside, so we didn't have to wait for food nor service.  Our server was excellent throughout the meal.  We got our food quickly and it was also great.  The ribs just fell off of the bones and were melt-in-your mouth tender.  By the time we left, about an hour later, the place was packed inside and out, so glad we went early and would definitely go back!

Decent, typical bar food restaurant. Servers were friendly. Prices were a bit high. Food was OK.
