CreekSide Co-op is a member-owned food co-op in Elkins Park

Story

We are a community owned food co-op with a selection of natural, organic, local, and conventional foods and other products. Creekside has a great NY style deli, fresh prepared foods, and its own butcher. Check out our produce department for fresh and local seasonal fruits and veggies. Creekside also offers a nice variety of natural body care and supplements, featuring our premium private label brand of supplements.

I'm part of this co-op, so let that stands as a disclaimer. I come here primarily for a particular brand of local coffee that supports women growers and the restoration of trafficked women, and anything else is icing on the cake. The pastries here are great. The produce is good, I believe, but may be expensive if organic. I also appreciate the number of small or local brands available. This morning they had an Irish breakfast for St Patrick's Day, and live music in the cafe. Had I time (and neither dogs nor groceries in the car) I might have sat down for a coffee and a listen. There were high hopes for the co-op early in, and I don't think all have been fulfilled, but the local grocery is helpful in a suburban town center, and it's become a "third place" on its own for various activities.

The deli is great! They also have a great selection of fresh produce. Every time I go in there the workers there are helpful and pleasant. Really like this co-op.

Nice community market not a lot of variety but great for quick grabs and home basics a benefit to have in the community.

Love the variety and how many local products they stock-like coffee roasted minutes away. Their pre-made foods are great too, especially the shrimp salad and their turkey meatloaf.

Local co-op, member-supported but open to the public. Fresh produce and more, excellent choice of bagged coffee, fresh sushi made in-house.
