Amazing bakery and a really good place to stop by and chill for a bit. They are the epitome of simple and great ingredients that make it a really great spot. Small place, but their bread is crispy and light and fresh at all times. We had the tomato and serrano ham baguette and the potato roll with butter and jam. Both reminded us of our favorite bakeries in the south of Spain. Will definitely come back here.
The name says it all. It's a place of heaven. Everything is just expertly done. The atmosphere is warm and intimate. It felt communal, like you wouldn't you feel like you're in a bakery but at the owner's house and she is baking all the love. The staff only compliments the place. They're knowledge and love for the craft is evident. They're gracious and charming and make you feel like your home. I can't to come back.
We were looking for a quick breakfast spot close to our hotel and boy were we surprised. Their menu is pretty diverse and although it might seem pricey, after you see the portions and taste the food, you’ll understand why their prices are very good. I had the Scrambled eggs and cappuccino the first, second and third time in the same week: yes, it was that good.
5 directly goes to the bread I bought! The loaf-shape one Rugbrod rye sourdough is amazing and delicious. The texture is solid but slightly chewy with a wonderful wheat smell. I use it to make my breakfasts Although I also got a slice of almond cake which is a little bit non-flavor. People are friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend this place for good bread.
A bakery where you can meet delicious freshly baked baguettes. The baguette is an ideal that outside is crispy and it keeps moisture inside. There are various kinds of baguettes, and if it's first thing in the morning, everything may not be available. All kinds of $5. There is also eat in space, and in addition there is also drink menu, food menu such as sandwiches and pizzas. I visited there in December 2021.
Best bakery in soho! I came in for my personal fave, Italian ham and butter on a sesame roll. A strong second being the mortadella and cheese on said roll. The bread is made in house, the staff are friendly and they even offer pizza! This is a wonderful neighborhood spot for pick up or eat in. Great coffee too. When the weather is nice they have outdoor seating as well!
Love this place! Probably my favourite bakery in nyc. Feels like being in Europe and the food has that same delicious simplicity as Europe as well. High quality ingredients, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Pizza is delicious!
Top notch quality European style bakery Bäckerei/boulangerie!! their amazing baguette is one of the finalists of best baguettes chosen by the French consulate! We had the burrata baguette sandwich, veggie cream cheese rugbrod, veggie soup comes with an assortment of bread, oat milk latte, tumeric latte, and bought home 1/4 of the rye German style bread and half of the Danish rugbrod. All the bread was wonderfully fresh, crusty on the outside and moist inside; could also taste the herbs such as rosemary used. Absolutely loved all the bread. The owner/chef baker Fel who's usually onsite! was hard at work and she passionately explained all the bread for us. Definitely recommend this bakery for breakfast, lunch and your daily bread needs! Update: the pizzas are amazing one of the best we've had ever!! So perfectly crispy, not greasy, high quality dough with fresh tomato sauce and burrata. The mushroom Blanca was also super delicious with a variety of mushrooms.
Being from Germany we know and love good bread ; All kinds of bread, pastries and rolls haha. This was by far the best and most authentic bread I've eaten in New York. Crispy, fresh, flavorful. Such a charming, european bakery and coffee shop and amazingly friendly staff! 100% worth trying out!
Are you kidding me?! $20 + $26 for these two absurdly small appetizer-sized portions of pizza?! They barely fill out half the miniscule box. How embarrassing to have these arrive and not be able to feed all guests. Even Roberta's makes a more respectably-sized Neopolitan-style pie, and local favorite Champion is a far better high-quality local alternative delivering great quality for the dollar spent. 1 star for actual good quality despite the size, and 1 star for timely delivery. Never again, though...
