Really like the cafe and seating area. Good food that is not run of the mill, generic. Nice employees at this museum. Love the openness and light and architecture of the modern addition. Love the woodwork in the original mansion. Nice to see some native American art and art from other countries. The museum has a great deal of pottery and China. My favorite part of the museum is the art that features American people and places. Love the paintings of Yosemite and the western United States. The museum is huge. Visit the parts that interest you the most first. I didn't, and ran out of time and energy. Definitely want to come back to concentrate on the paintings in the mansion. Highly recommended everyone to visit the Crocker Art Museum. Because it is so large, beautiful and has a great cafe (and coffee) it really and truly is a destination. Excellent gift store, also.

We visited Crocker art Museum to see the Hi-Fructose art exhibition (which was incredible, as expected). The rest of the museum was equally awesome. Well designed and laid out, the Crocker's friendly staff and knowledgeable docents made our experience wonderful. Tremendous variety of exhibits, with something for everyone. Also very kid-friendly which was good for our family. Highly recommended.

One of the best private art museums in California. Spent over four hours here looking and admiring the vast collection of art it has to offer. A great value for the price of admission. I will be back.

Beautiful museum! Highly worth the $ 10 adult fee. Three buildings that are connected with three floors. Great collections with pretty good curation. Has both modern and contemporary art and a lot of history as it was started by the Crocker family associated with the Railroad and Crocker Bank.

I've been here twice and really enjoyed it both times! The museum looks small from the outside, but has quite a few exhibits and a good variety of paintings/sculptures/etc. Price is reasonable for a museum, and the college student discount is a plus. Would definitely come back to see new exhibits!
