Two instances was enough to get pissed off. 1. Pharmacist recommended an over the counter drug, and I purchased it. Then I read the indications more carefully, and it was a wrong purchase. Literally in 5 min, I asked to take it back - and they refused, arguing that it was a controlled drug. Nonsense! And the pharmacist denied he recommended it. 2. I got a bonus on my CVS card, purchased the item, using my CVS card. They denied the bonus, arguing that that item was on sale. The sticker on the shelf did not say "SALE". Manager explained: they did not have the time in the morning to change the sticker. Then he changed his mind, gave the discount.

The Store Manger Jigar is completely incompetent! I stopped shopping at this CVS store because of his rude behavior. I cant see why CVS would continue to employ such a person especially as a Store Manager.

Thus store itself is OK, but CVS is screwing around with their customers via the Extra Care card program. I keep getting coupons and offers addressed​ specifically to me but when I go to the store they refused to accept them because they are issued to a different account, apparently an old one of ours that was closed out well over a year ago. Supposedly the old account was consolidated with the new but all the mailings I get apparently are linked only to the old accounts​. Somehow CVS has just lost their way. Way too much trouble to deal with them.

Was in the area for a birthday party. Stopped here to pick up a b-day card. Brought it to the register and the employee rings it up. $4.35. I put my debit card into the chip reader, and the employee says "oh, the computer system is down. I can't process the transaction unless you have cash." I specifically asked "are you sure this won't show up on my debit account?" Employee says "absolutely not. I can't process the transaction." Fine. I walk out without the b-day card and bought one at a Walgreens instead. Next day I check my debit card activity and guess what? There's a $4.35 charge from this CVS posted to my account. So I call my bank and they say to first call the merchant. Fine. I call and speak to the store manager, Jigar, and explained what happened including the specific date and time of the "transaction". He says if I want my money back I have to bring my bank statement to him at the store to prove that they actually charged my card before he would refund my money. I then tell him I live 20 miles away in Lindenhurst and I wasn't about to drive an hour round trip and spend about $4.00 in gas so that he can fix his store's error and refund me the $4.35 they charged me for no merchandise. I also told him if he made me drive all the way down there so he could fix his store's $4.35 mistake, I would be creating a scene the entire time I was in there so that everyone in that store knew all about this ridiculous situation that he and his store created. Thankfully I didn't have to drive all the way down there because I called my bank back, explained the situation to them, and they agreed with me and refunded me my $4.35. I certainly hope the bank gets that $$$ back from Jigar and his ridiculous CVS store. If this is how CVS operates I will always pass them by for Walgreens from now on.
