This quaint little diner nestled behind insane amounts of construction was a good place to grab brunch. The owner was wondering around in the middle of the restaurant making sure everyone was taken care of. While waiting to be seated their is no place to sit and wait, which is not a huge deal but myself and an elderly lady struggled to stand. If you fancy a morning cocktail, it is rather expensive so we opted out. Our waitress graciously got what wanted which we were pleased with but some of the up-charges were surprising since it is not written on the menu and our server failed to mention. Portions will fill you up and leave nothing to be craved.

Breakfast is one of my favorite meals of the day. Especially when the food is worth the everyday fight of getting out of bed in the morning. D'egg is one of those places I don't mind getting up early for. As soon as I entered I was greeted by my would-be server Jessica. She smiled, said good morning, and happily showed me to my table. She was very upbeat and seemed like she enjoyed taking care of me and her other tables. She was always around asking if I needed anything and providing friendly conversation. One of the best service experiences I have experienced. I will be recommending this diner to all my friends and family.

D'Egg is an establishment in downtown Norfolk and for good reason! It's the best breakfast place in downtown with everything from fluffy pancakes to good old fashion country fried chicken. If you want something easy, inexpensive, and delicious - check out D'Egg. Be warned, it does get really crowded, so I'd recommend getting there early on the weekends.

Great food waitresses are a little rush which makes them come off as rude but all in all a wonderful place to enjoy a meal.

The place right now has construction in front so hard to find entrance but not diners fault. Service was superb. Food was above average . Price was very reasonable. If on a budget -great. Local favorite -you can tell, small town feel ( home like) in the middle of downtown Norfolk,VA.😇
