Family owned and operated, DMI has grown over the past three decades to over 20,000 square feet of retail space.


We offer the old time shopping experience which simply cannot be found in the big chain stores. We are large enough to satisfy all your home repair needs, yet small enough to care. With our rental division, we have the tools, supplies, and knowledge to help you with any project from a leaky faucet to a new addition.

A fantastic, local alternative to H. Depot. In fact, I argue this is an even better shop! The sheer amount of lumber, tools, equipment, and power tools this store has available to buy and/or rent is nothing short of amazing. Staff are always able to assist if needed.

Good stock, usually helpful sales people. Somewhat intimidating for a DIY'er who doesn't know all the lingo. Some staff do not seem patient. It often feels likes a man's man place. (And I'm a man.)

Fantastic warehouse, whether you are a homeowner or a contractor. The folks know their stuff, and are always going out of their way to answer any questions. If you are only used to big box hardware stores, you should give them a try at DMI. It is night and day.

Though they may not compete with the prices of the big box hardware stores they can offer actual knowledge of their products that the other stores can't. Their friendly staff can find products for you and help you with what you need them for. They also have a good selection of rental tools and party rental supplies

Unfortunately, I was met with an incredibly misogynistic salesman who did not want to help me. I wanted to support a local business, but cannot do so after this experience.
