Story

Daily Bread & Mercantile is a small family owned business in Ellensburg, Washington. It was created from a desire to provide fresh baked goods, specialty bulk foods, deli meats and cheeses, and a healthy option for lunch to the community. Our principle is to uphold honesty, integrity, fair price for our products, and old fashion hospitality and friendship!

Tasty fresh real food. Not large menu but well done. Sweets looked yummy and very sought after. Very clean, bright with outdoor seating also. Well stocked and reasonably priced market too with natural foods and spices. Nice place, good people.

The Daily Bread and Mercantile is great! They make pretty much everything in their store themselves. The bread for your sandwich, the dessert for after, all hand made by them. Their food is delicious, it's one of my favorite places to go for lunch. The reason I can't give it five stars is the environment. The Daily Bread and Mercantile is owned and operated by a group of German Baptists who make it very clear in their restaurant and store with Bible quotes on their menu and things like that. To me, and I admit it's a little ridiculous, but it makes me slightly uncomfortable as I haven't had a lot of great experiences with the religious type... There are lots of older customers who seem to look down on me when I'm there. If you don't mind that though, don't miss out on The Daily Bread and Mercantile!

Visited this store based on a friends recommendation. WOW! Had a sandwich (cannot remember which one) and a cup of Chicken Pot Pie soup. They were both delicious. The sandwich was so fresh. I walked out with a six pack of cinnamon rolls to treat my family.

Their apple walnut spinach salad is amazing! That with a slice of fresh made bread is a perfect meal.

Yummy sandwiches. Always packed. Only issue is parking. Might be time to move to a different place.
