Wonderful walking/biking trails. I spend hours at a time wandering around in these woods with my dog. I'd do it every day if I could. The campground is basic, but nice and well maintained. They have a few cabins that can be rented for a reasonable price. You can hike the trails to the beach, or drive across the street and park in the lot.

I've explored the trails of this urban wonderland for almost 20 years and know them intimately. The kids have grown up walking them. Our last dog's ashes were spread here. It's part of our being! The beach is awesome too!

Beautiful view of the water from the beach. Nice hiking with lush, green scenery. You can access picnic areas, trails, and the beach all from one parking lot. I definitely recommend stopping by for a quick visit if you're near the area.

Lovely green family campground with lots of hiking trails through the woods and beach area. Vehicles require Washington State Discovery Pass (for parking), but not required for Hiker-Biker. One side of the park is for Day use, and the other is for overnight RV & car/tent camping. No specially designated Hiker-Biker area camping, so it's rather expensive for cycle-touring. However, the park does have pay (token) showers at 3 minutes for $1.00. Hiking trails not suitable for touring bikes, but some might be acceptable for some bike-packing mountain/trail bikes.

What a great find!! $10 tent camping tucked away in a cute little town just outside of the city?! Can't beat that, especially compared to outrageous hotel prices! Lots of sites, many separated by bushes and foliage to create privacy. Pulled in late on a Saturday night with no reservations, plenty of sites still available. Clean bathrooms and sinks for doing dishes, coin operated showers that we didn't see or use. Very family friendly, lots of kids running around...even some babies crying into the night, which didn't bother us night owls sitting by the fire. Many trails that will even take you to a 7/11 or a java hut for coffee. Fire wood for sale until around 8pm. Didn't get to check out the beach, but nice that it's an option. Someone said lots of bugs...we stayed the second week of June and didn't seem to notice many. Overall, no real complaints! Would stay here again given the opportunity!!
