PERFECT for athletes playing at Mills Pond! Not bad at all. I was afraid to book here after reading some reviews. But we're playing in a sports tournament at Mills Pond, and it's very close and convenient. The room we stayed in was clean, and everything worked. My husband said, "don't read those bad reviews", and he was right! There were families staying here, looked like a bunch of snowbirds hanging at the pool. I was so happy it wasn't bad at all. It might really only deserve 4 stars, simply because it's not on the beach, and it's a little older hotel, but so many people have unfair ratings the other way I decided to go with 5 🌟 stars!

I will NEVER again stay here. I booked this hotel months ago for 3 rooms and 7 people. I checked 3 times and up to 2 days before we left to make sure everything was all set. I was told us and to just make sure when we were at airport to call after we got our luggage. I did exactly that and they proceed to tell me they cancelled all my reservations. I had 3 non smoking rooms booked which they cancelled but ironically told me they had 3 smoking rooms they could give me. My door doesn't open from the outside unless you kick it in... The maintenance man showed us how. I'm going vacation gets better since it can only go up from here. I travel a lot so trust my review when I say keep looking. I have never encountered this before and I have booked many trips!

Rooms are spacious and comfortable considering the affordable price. Location is both good and bad because it is really close to the highway, but it is also very close to the train tracks which makes you hear the train passing. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Parking lot has enough capacity. The breakfast place opens randomly. You never know if it will open or at what time. It is a good place for those passing by or looking for an affordable place.

After getting in late our room was very sub standard. There was a large pool of water in front of the sink from the defrosted refrigerator, and after getting in to bed my wife felt a bit on her foot. Lo and behold there were many tiny black specs in the bed. The shuttle the next morning to the port was fine, breakfast is not complimentary. Would not go again.

The room was clean, beds comfortable and the staff was friendly and efficient. Security was on location and room had wifi, microwave and a fridge. Good for the price paid. It does need a bit of an upgrade but it's an older hotel so no real complaints.
