Island Sands Inn is an oasis of tranquility that is surrounded by a welcoming fun community for the gay traveler. As an experienced world traveler, I have enjoyed many wonderful and some not so wonderful lodging experiences. Our recent visit to the Island Sand Inn is one of our favorite and relaxing trips ever. Our host Mike reached out to us early the day of our arrival to offer us an early check-in and knowing we were the last flight out from the last northeastern snow storm. He greeted us warmly and gave us a detailed overview of all of the wonderful options available to us to have a great vacation. Our room was large, well appointed, extremely clean and comfortable. The warm salt water pool and patio was my place to escape and regenerate. The inn is only a half a block away from numerous shops, bars and restaurants. By the end of our trip we had made a new friend with Mike and an oasis to return many times hopefully in the future. Mike

I rarely bother to write reviews, but I just had to share my satisfaction for this very exceptional establishment, the Island Sands Inn. Unlike any ordinary hotel stay, here I had my own little cottage style Villa with a full kitchen, laundry facilities, and a private pool. What a welcomed privilege it was to be able to prepare some simple meals or storing restaurant leftovers for another day. Also, being able to do a load of laundry anytime keeps travelers from having to pack as many clothes which in turn saves money and hassles on checked baggage fees at the airports. How nice it was to return home without suitcases full of dirty laundry! Hosts Mike and Jim are so gracious and accommodating, that even on my first stay here, I was treated like a good friend and a loyal patron. Chad, the young man who tended to my accommodations, is just as sweet as he is adorable. Very warm friendly place, you feel at home here immediately. Clean well kept, nice pool. Super easy walking distance to most of Wilton Manors nightlife.

One of the best small Inns I have stayed at. The details in the room surpassed most high end hotel chains. The location is also ideal.

The rooms were nice and well furnished. The staff friendly and helpful. The only complaint I really have is about their proximity to a railroad which made for a noisy wake-up one morning. Apart from that, it was a pleasant stay in a fun neighborhood
