Found a ridiculously awesome room rate for a suite and decided to stay here because it was super close to Philly. We stayed 3 nights. Room was clean and we could tell they did some updating (the lobby also looked very modern). The room was very spacious, which we loved because we're a family of 7. The beds were a bit more firm than we're used to but we still slept well. The pull out bed is super thin and "springy" but our young kids didn't care. The bathroom was incredibly small but the shower head had great water pressure and made for an enjoyable shower. The microwave and fridge in the room was great. Our stay was quiet, we felt pretty safe in the location (though the old fashioned chain lock added no feelings of security, but the door was sturdy), the breakfast was small but better than some other places offer (yogurt, yummy waffles, microwaveable omelets), we didn't have much interaction with staff. Overall, a great place to stay for the price and proximity to things to do, like Philly.

The location isn't bad, not too far a drive from downtown phillidelphia. There are no elevators, which is a drag if you are not on the first floor. The rooms are fairly clean. The rugs and linens have some staining, but it's pretty well cleaned. The price is cheap and the rooms are really spacious, like impressively so. There is free breakfast every morning. Fruit, cereal, waffles ( like waffle makers to make them yourself. Yum! ), yogurt, toast, granola, some microwaveable egg things that are pretty tasty but in sure not healthy. Ice machines outside and washing machines and dryers, but $2 per load.

My room was dirty and not updated. The tub was dirty. Mold was beginning to form where the top of the shower meets the wallpaper. The microwave and refrigerator were filthy. One of the lampshades was damaged. Lighting was dim. I must say I looked there updating of the floor in the bathroom which was in contrast to the rest of the room. The beds were neat and looked nice. I checked out and booked a room elsewhere.

Just checked in, room looks newly remodeled but even though it is non-smoking there was cigarette ash on the tissue holder. I greeted Samuel at reception but he just looked at me, and the only time he talked to me was when he threw a paper and pen for my car make and model. I asked for his name three times before he finally said it and when I told him about my problem with him he said "I'm just tired, I can talk to everyone... that is just the way I am".

Rooms were nice and taken care of. Only complaint would be the beds and pillows. Too soft for my taste. But thats not their fault.
