This is the best place I have ever worked.  I love the people I work with as well as the customers.

The place is hugh inside but the cover charge and drink prices are not worth the drive.Stay Downtown you will have a better time.

I come frequently to play pool on Mondays.  The last I came to do so was about a month ago.  They recently hire an attractive bartender.  Like me, he is not white.  He however is very unfriendly and lacks conversational skills, unlike me.  He had an air of dismissiveness and seems not to appreciate the fact that he had customers.  In the future I would hope the owers would hire more friendly bartenders.   A loyal Eagle customer.

Reading prior reviews on here from prissy queens about the Eagle make me laugh. 

THIS IS A LEATHER DIVE BAR. 

It is meant to be a hole-in-the-wall, gritty, gay experience. If you want your nose-in-the-air gay cocktail bar go to U Street. Nothing pisses me off more when gays, who know nothing about the leather community, invade a leather bar with a leather wrist band and then complain about the establishment being sub par.

I love the Eagle for what it is and that this new iteration kept its character and roots (which many of these reviewers don't even know). It may not be perfect, but that's why I love it.
