I thought this museum was great because it had a little bit of everything. The outdoor section was beautiful and the collections were diverse in background. The museum is definitely a lot bigger than it seems and i think it takes more than 2 hours to really enjoy the artwork. The only complaint that I have for this museum is that not all the tags have a description of the piece to tell you more about the background.

Really nice museum with a wide range of artwork. I dropped my sweater and someone returned it within minutes and I got it back so fast! Loved the Stuart Davis collection, wasn't crazy about the summer love exhibit. The general collection is really nice though! There's a really nice view of the entire park from the tower definitely worth checking out!

De Young Museum is definitely worth a visit. Incredible exhibitions that rotate every few months. Plus, if you're a Bank of America account holder, show your credit or debit card and get free general admission on the first weekend of each month.

Beautiful collection of art, but probably the most unfriendly place we have taken our brood of 5 kids to in the US! It started at the front entrance when an older lady guard was extremely condescending towards my husband and I about carrying backpacks! We understand that we need to be told the rules, but delivery of the message makes a huge difference! We had guards follow us constantly because we had 5 kids! Very disrespectful given that our kids are accustomed to going to museums all over the world with us! A less than pleasing experience for our children and us. We quickly moved our kids on as it wasn't worth the stress!

gendered language. condescending staff. very few outlets to charge devices. the art is good, but that’s about it. (some of the staff are really nice, but there aren’t enough of them to make me want to come back)
