Dr. Patricia DeFusco is a wonderful caring Physician. She thoroughly and completely explained all aspects of my illness along with full disclosure of the positive and negatives of my treatment options. I come into each office visit with a list of questions which she answers in everyday language so that I understand my treatment process. Her support staff is also is very supportive and responsive.
Dr. DeFusco is gift to people dealing with cancer. She has such compassion and knowledge with clear and concise information that is crucial when dealing with this diagnosis. She is a physician who cares, understands and goes above and beyond for her patients. She truly is the best oncologist.
Dr. DeFusco is amazing! Her kindness, knowledge and thouroughness are just what a breast cancer patient needs. No need to go to Boston when you can get an astounding doctor closer!

Dr. Defusco is an outstanding breast care specialist! I have been fortunate to be one of her patients over the past ~20 years. I have followed her endeavors to advance the field, subsequent to attending one of her early lectures on genetic predisposition in Wethersfield. She presented with such a level of earnest and leading edge knowledge, that I was compelled to approach her to ask if she would consider adding me as a patient, albeit as an “outlier” for she was The Real Deal, a true scientist and clinician, right here in Greater Hartford. Her exams are beyond all others. Her examining hands are exquisite. Her mind is methodical and detailed. Her communication is sensitive and caring chock full of leading edge, definitive information. I love Dr. Defusco and my family has trusted her for over 40 years. Patent centered care and quality of life are priority to her care. The staff are wonderful.
Dr. DeFusco has been my doctor since my onset with breast cancer. She is a truly amazing doctor for so many reasons. She a take charge type of doctor meaning she is always ready to make a different move at a moments notice. She is very compassonate, she truly cares about her patients. She would never think of rushing you out of the exam room because of time. She only leaves when she knows you are o.k. and you know what's going to happen next. She makes sure that tests are taken periodically that will give her the best out come for me. There is so much I could share but one of the other things I would like to say is that the doctors she worked with in connection with my care all highly respected her. And when she reached out to a doctor they would get back to her so fast I hadn't even left the office yet. That impressed me. I could go on and on but I will end by saying when my breast cancer came back and traveled to my back I didn't know what was going to happen, and at that point either did Dr. DeFusco but she was always positive and I always felt safe. It has been a little over 4 and a half years and I'm still here. I believe it was because of her. I wouldn't want anybody else. In my book she is the best of the best and I am so fortunate to have found her.
