We have been going to Beaver Brook for the past year since we first rescued our dog, and I haven't had a bad experience yet. From the front desk to the techs to the doctors, everyone is friendly and willing to listen and help. We have done our boy's well checks here and they are great with keeping the records and reminding us when it's time to re-up on a vaccine or a medication. Their online pharmacy also provides ultimate convenience and the occasional discount on the heart worm and flea/tick medication that we have our dog on. It's easily run by our vet for a prescription and quickly delivered to us. Our latest interaction was a periodontal cleaning for our dog, which necessitated general anesthesia. They readily provided answers about the procedure and the discharge instructions when we eventually picked him up. When we questioned a charge from the procedure, initially they were not forthcoming but that seemed due in part to the person we directed the questions to, but it was resolved in the end by their lovely office manager. Despite the hiccup, I would still recommend them to anyone who loves their pet and is looking for care and I'll be bringing my dog back too!
Absolute joke. Do not go unless you want to spend an arm and a leg on unnecessary medical conditions, or if you are fine with their vets telling you to euthanize an animal when there actually is a very easy cure. They push products on you that to a new owner, assume are necessary. In reality, they aren’t. Easy way to make some extra bucks. Care more about money then the animals they care for and office staff definitely projects that attitude.
I agree with previous reviews that they over prescribe for anxiety. They refused to take my dog in for shots unless i gave him a prescription. The same prescription is used to treat humans coming off of opiates. I witnessed two other owners unknowingly being prescribed this unnecessary medication the last time I was there. They are very fearful and quick we’re quick to dismiss my animal. Far from what I am use to from a vet office. Below standards and unprofessional.
Was very unhappy at my previous vet due to poor communication. Decided to try out Beaver Brook and they were able to schedule me an appointment very quickly. I got an email and call for appointment reminder. Came in about 10 minutes early as requested which allowed my cat to come out on his own as he was very nervous and for the vet tech to collect needed information. Not sure what these negative reviews about Dr. Monica are about. She was very kind and addressed my concerns about my cat. I purchased their flea/tick/heart worm preventative and the vet tech offered to show me how to do it. Check out was easy, quick, and reasonably priced. A day after my appointment, I received an email following up on how Kuma was doing and with his test results. Everyone was very nice and communication is great.
I took my long haired cat to get groomed on a Monday. I was very clear with the groomer that I just wanted some of the fur cleaned up, but did not want her fur super short. I also told the groomer not to trim her nails because I do it every Sunday. The groomer cut her hair incredibly short it's now less than a half inch long and even cut off some of her whiskers! Her hair is not evenly cut all over her body. The groomer also cut her nails and made her bleed. I'm incredibly disappointed that I spent over $100 on this grooming. When I contacted the vet, the groomer defended every action and I was only refunded $20. I will not be returning to this groomer.
Can’t say enough about Dr Asher and the staff! To begin with David helped me get our elderly 75 pound dog safely out of the truck and safely back in when we left. That is a BIG deal and not so easy to do. Not only but he went a step further and helped me walk him in to the clinic as I have a leg injury myself and was having difficulty handling him. Once in there Jackie took over to get all of the information needed with the new staff member, whose name I cannot remember but he was great as well.
I’ve always had an amazing experience here, but my dog’s recent booster shot is a great example of their care. My dog gets very anxious when he’s taken away from me by anyone much less a stranger, and he really doesn’t like needles. The staff member was right on time which helps because my dog didn’t have to stay in the waiting room at all and took his time making sure to ask all about Bambi and his triggers, what would make him most comfy, etc. He pet him and talked to him to make him feel more safe. He wrapped Bambi up in a big, comfy blanket for his safety when he got nervous during his shot and brought him back out to me like that. I could tell Bambi was much less nervous than usual with a stranger and at the vet thanks to their care. They also always call to follow up on him which I really appreciate.
Seriously the best vet experience I have ever had with my anxious dog. I had their first appointment of the day and all of the staff and Dr. Mel took their time getting my dog to trust and warm up to them. They even have a separate entrance for dogs that get antsy around other dogs. It was really refreshing compared to previous vets not even allowing me inside when my pup already has bad separation anxiety. They worked within my dog's comfort zone, and his behavior was so much more relaxed and at ease than anywhere I have ever been. I felt like they really listened to my concerns and validated what it's like to live with an anxious pet, with the doctor having lived experience with anxious pets. Thank you so much for providing a stress free experience for not only my dog but myself as well.
I've been coming here with my dog for almost 10 years. They're on the expensive side but they are worth it. The staff is always great, I've never had any complications from surgeries, and they really care about the well being of my furbaby
Our dog loves beaver brook! The staff are always friendly and professional. The building is clean and up to date. Never a long wait and they have plenty of treats to keep your pet occupied.
