We've stayed here a few times and you cannot beat it. Incredible price, beautiful beach. Its also great service. You can call from the your room and they will drive firewood out to your spot on for a beach fire. Too great. Love this place

I always make sure to reserve a room well ahead of time if I am going to come down for a visit. The rooms are spacious, with a kitchenette, large table, a sofa and chair. The beds are comfortable and clean. Having the fire pit outside and close by brings a perfect ending to a long day. You definitely get the beach resort feeling.

This is one of our favorite places to camp. Since it is on a military installation you obviously have to be active duty, a reservist, or retired. Unlike normal campgrounds that over charge you for anything at the camp store, you can find great deals for those last-minute items you need. Make sure that you plan ahead! Reservations can be a little trying to get booked. The best way to book reservations here is stop by the office. on multiple occasions I have called in and had to wait on hold for over an hour and possibly two. During the summer months you can only reserve two spaces. Off-season reservations you can book up to four spaces. Oh and don't forget you are allowed to drink alcohol on the beach! Just don't be a litterbug. The majority of the sites are actually in the sand which can cause some issues if your vehicle can't pull your trailer very well. But below the sand many of the spaces have a concrete slab. I bring that up because I tried to put an umbrella into the sand and broke the screw on the concrete. They do sell firewood at the office but I recommend you still bring some of your own. All sites have a nice fire pit with the best sites, first row, having the fire pit right on the beach. These spots are of course the most sought out after. So you have to make sure you book way in advance to get them. But all hope is not lost if you call or go into the office sometimes you can get a prime spot that was cancelled at the last minute.

Beautiful well maintained beach on base (Camp Pendalton). Restrooms, children's play areas, covered picnic tables, RV parking, easy access. But, you need Active Duty ID. It's on base and the security don't mess around.

Love Camp Pendleton and the campgrounds contained therein. How can you beat camping on the beach and the security of a gated military installation. Great scenic drives and restaurants all close by
