We went to Delius for lunch when our flight out of Long Beach was delayed. It was prefect! I had the Sazerac and smoked salmon salad. The salad came with a beautiful piece of salmon and was a very generous portion. The service was good, as usual, and the drink was a delight. I've been before and will be again when I'm in the area!

The chef here is very involved and diligent. The food here was great with a wine selection far beyond my needs so I enjoyed it immensely.

Went for an early Thanksgiving dinner with family. Dinner at 6 and our food still took 40 minutes. The Scallops came with 3 scallops. And the server didn't take our order properly, causing the nasty tasting octopus to arrive with the main dish. Dinner was so bad we didn't even get a to go order for someone we needed to do so for. Not returning. Ever.

Delius is our local gem of a restaurant. The food is always first-rate. We've tried all of their salads, frequently the soup of the day, the Octopus appetizer, the flatbreads, the Scampi Shrimp Pasta, Lobster Ravioli, Hanger steak, and my always go-to Duck Breast. Alway consistent and absolutely delicious. Would give it hands-down five stars but wish the service was either better trained or more demanding. Have not had a really refined server at any of our many dinners there. Sometimes attitude, but much more often well-intentioned but badly timed service. Have pet peeve of drinks not being timed well with the dinner; Hate when wine shows up significantly after the entree. I usually wait until the wine arrives. More than once, including tonight, the entree is cold when the wine shows up. Fortunately even cold the food is good. Also feeling old tonight as our waiters vocabulary consisted primarily of "you guys" and "cool". The bigger problem seems to be a very friendly chatty bar tender that gets distracted from making drinks for us lessers in the dining room. Hope they get it together sometime. In the meantime we'll enjoy its close proximity and delicious food.
