A very authentic, sort of upscale place for yummy cuisine.

I go a few times a year with my Japanese mother in law and family, and it's always a treat. 

I love the friendly staff, and the food! Everything is so tasty and fresh. I usually get sushi and sashimi as well as some tempura.

So good! I stumbled across this place when I was looking for a quick dinner- best find ever. The atmosphere of the restaurant was quiet and serene, nice staff, great miso soup. The fish though. The fish is probably the best sushi I've ever had in my life. And let's be clear here: I'm obsessed with sushi. I have a problem. I would eat sushi morning noon and night. I'm sure I'll contract some kind of mercury poisoning at some point. But this is the best. So fresh, expertly pieced together. The eel was buttery with a delicate crisp. The yellowtail melted in my mouth. We ordered a roll, but the nigiri is where it's at. My life is legitimately better because this place exists. Can't wait to go back.

Best Traditional Japanese Restaurant in Long Beach
Family owned and great quality
Every single time I've been to Kashiwa has been consistent and above expectations

When I work in LB is A must, best sushi bar in this area. Great quality food and the owner os really good if is not up tonyour standards will not sale.
