My husband and I are regular guests there and we went there to eat today, but, when we got there we were sat at a table that was a little dirty,  there was salt and sugar all over the table and a couple of opened sugar packets on the table that my husband wiped out of the of the way, when the server came over, she laid the menus on the dirty table, I told her the table was dirty she came over with a towel and a nasty attitude, wiped it off and then looked at me and said better. I was a server for 18 years and if a guest ever asked me to wipe a table, which,  I would not seat a guest at a dirty table to begin with, I would wipe it, I have never looked at the guest and said better.

Gables, Denny's location. Across the way from U.M., typical to share space with a bunch of rowdy college students with red eyes. Tomorrows judges, lawyers and politicians. Yes folks, we are saved!
The restaurant is fine. The last time I went some guys were tripping on acid staring at the patterns on the carpets. Guy had a big sloppy grin on his face, No tv in the place, made it a fun show to watch.
I guess people expect a wholesome family experience here, but guess again. It's ACROSS FROM A WORLD RENOWNED UNIVERSITY where students fresh from out of town strict waspy families break loose, and do regularly with beer, pancakes and bong hits. Things can go sideways after hours, which can make even a dull night seem sort of fun.
The point is the service is good and the people are decent workers. It's a hard job. You want a family atmosphere with clowns, ball pits and funny balloons, go to McDonald's.

My favorite breakfast spot. Darling is the best waitress ever make sur and ask for her. Good portions affordable prices and excellent service

We love this place family meets here often.   Great service,  clean,  good food.   This is probably the best Dennys in Miami
