Staff and dentists were great with my kids (ages 3 and 6). We have never waited long. Quality care and my kids enjoy going!

My daughter is terribly afraid of the dentist and had to have a filling, so the dentist recommended using sedation in the OR. She had X-rays and had 1 cavity, then a week later had the procedure and came out with four root canals and silver caps on 4 teeth!! There is no way three cavities showed up out of nowhere and progressed to the point of needing a root canal within a week, it was fraud and I cringe every time I see all this metal in my daughter's mouth! !

What kind of dental office releases a child that is in pain and needs a tooth pulled? This one! I have no idea why he was released. I know what I was told which makes no sense and I'll explain why. My son is 9, has autism, is non verbal and can be a bit of a handful at appointments. I was told in may that Dakota had a tooth that needed pulled. I am a struggling, single mom of two young disabled boys and didn't own a car at this time. I did have a hard time finding a way to get him to Lexington (he was seen in Richmond) to get it done. He is sedated for any work because of behavior issues (he gets scared and overwhelmed and acts out). It's very hard to depend on other people so because of this, I found a good, cheap car the first of June and bought it. I immediately called and scheduled Dakota for his dental surgery. I admit I don't know Lexington at all and got lost that morning but the directions in the packet I was given were also to the wrong surgery center. They called Misty, the surgery coordinator, and she had them tell us to come on over so we did. Dakota was extremely anxious so they gave him something to relax him, he was in his gown and the bed ready to go when a lady came in and told us that the dr thought she was done for the day and had left so we needed to reschedule. I tried several times and Misty never returned my calls. Well, my youngest son was having some problems with his teeth so I called and made an appt to get him and thought I would discuss Dakota with them then. I took him on Monday and he does need work done so when I was scheduling with Mona to get it done, I told her about Dakota and what happened. She just said maybe they could both go at the same time and let Misty know when she called to give us a surgery date. I called Misty Tuesday afternoon when I hadn't heard from her yet and as always, I had to leave a message. Well when she called back and left me a message, she said she could schedule my youngest but that Dakota was being released for missing 4 appts. Excuse me? When was this decided? Before we wasted gas and time going to Lexington or after and why wasn't I told sooner so I could get the poor child in somewhere! I had to pick him up from school twice this week because of his tooth hurting!!! We sure didn't miss 4 appts after he was blown off in Lexington. I've been trying and trying to get him rescheduled. I called Misty multiple times and left messages and even called the office after I never heard back from her for a little while and told them what was going on. No one ever told me he was released. I wouldn't have brought my youngest to a place Monday that treated older brother that way. Why didn't the dr tell me about Dakota when she came in to see Boyd? She didn't even ask about him or hope he was doing with the tooth and she didn't apologize for the situation in Lexington last month. No one has. I'm at a loss for what the real reason is? Is Dakota too much trouble? Boyd does well when he goes but he's not as severely autistic as Dakota. Why would you release one child and not the other? They don't bring themselves (5 & 9). If it is because of his autism then parents of all disabled children beware! Of any children at all! I don't see what else it could be. I called Bluegrass Pediatrics here in Richmond this morning and told them what was going on and they got them both in today. They said they didn't want Dakota to be in pain all weekend. Thank you for caring Bluegrass!!!! When I called to tell Denistry for children I needed their records and complain (what parent wouldn't?), Mona after like I was out of line and she was very rude and short! Really? Your office has patients travel to Lexington where they are sedated, told to reschedule and then released! I hope his insurance wasn't billed for that and I'm going to check. Beware of this place people! This is the Gods honest truth, as I know it. I would never have taken my other son Monday if I had known what they were going to do to Dakota. They don't care about your kids. They didn't mine at least. I would not take my dog
