Went to the Degas exhibit as a surprise after-birthday brunch with parents. The exhibit happened to be the perfect place to quietly work through my hangover while appearing to be classy and cultured (and totally NOT hungover) at the same time. All in all, my post inebriated state really let me focus on how beautiful the exhibit is. The story-line way of recreating his early history, and the gradual shift to his focuses as an artist really speak to the artistic individual and you leave with a renewed inspiration to paint and create art yourself. Truly a great experience.

I've never met such nice and kind employees on a school trip. Although we did not have a school group reservation Liz one of the school group employees was much help and willing to help my school kids find a place to sit. Also the clean up crew allowed us to finish our lunches without rushing us. There are lots of interesting art pieces to see as well as activities to do. This Museum is kid friendly and I intend to come back a few more times this year.

It's always a pleasure coming here. Sadly they are currently renovating an entire building which severely limits the amount of exhibition space. The public tours are fantastic as well and the docents do a great job. The admission prices are very fair and they even participate in Bank of America Museums on Us program. Worth checking out if you're in the Denver area.

It's always a great day at the Denver Art Museum. We loved the guided tour of Her Paris, there are just so many new details to learn about the period, relationship of fellow artists and their modern day influences. Many thanks to a great team of volunteers who are so knowledgeable and invested. We will be back for Degas! BTW, if you are a parent or caregiver, there are many resources and volunteers ready to help you actively participate in making and enjoying art at every visit. A very creatively managed program full of options.

Beautiful building architecture and some fantastic pieces here! This is a great place for all ages, including little activities for the kids. Pieces vary all across the spectrum (African art to textile art to installation pieces), and new exhibitions are always coming through. This is a place where you'll definitely want to visit several times a year and see all the new pieces they've rotated in! Highly recommend bringing comfortable shoes as there are 4 floors of collections.
