IF YOU DO NOT HAVE MONEY...DO NOT GO HERE...THEY WILL TREAT YOU POORLY. GO TO PETAID COLORADO IF YOU NEED FINANCIAL HELP. While my pet received good care (which is why you received 2 stars), I saw the staff treat another family that didn't have the money to pay for emergency care very poorly - I have worked in the veterinary industry in the past - and the lack of compassion that I saw at this place was beyond comprehension. Nothings free, I get it, but the way you treated this family felt like you were trying to intentionally humiliate them because they didn't have the funds to pay for diagnostics. May I suggest: 1) Move more serious cases to patient rooms away from the front lobby. Allow the family privacy. 2) Do not ever announce "euthanasia" over the loud speaker for every person in the lobby to hear...ever. 3) Have tough conversations in the patient room...not the lobby. 4) If the family can't afford care - there are resources out there that can help - PetAid Colorado for example. 5) If it is reasonable to put the pet to sleep, as was the case for this family, then it is your job as veterinary staff, to make the family feel comfortable with their decision - yes - even if a wealthier family may have saved the pet....but in this case you didn't know because, as I clearly overheard the vet say when the dog mom asked if there was a chance, "I don't know. I can't give you statistics because I don't know what's wrong with the dog" - making it clear to all in the lobby that these people couldn't afford diagnostics. Whether there was more to the situation than I saw, what I perceived was unacceptable.

My dog had been sick for a week and initially took her to a 24hr pet hosp in Aurora...I brought her to Denver Pet Urgent Care on 1/11/18 and Dr. Eugene Pei was on staff. I cannot express enough how much he really cared about my dog and after a quick procedure that he recommended and some pain meds we were on our way back home. Within 2 days Honey was back at 100%. She was in bad shape and if not for Dr. Pei and the staff I am not sure she would have recovered and so quick! Not to mention the cost was affordable. I highly recommend them!

If I could put in a negative rating I would. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BELOVED pet here! I will never recommend your “emergency” services to anyone. I was referred to you by Wheat Ridge animal hospital the day after Christmas. I have also notified them of my terrible experience. They recommended you because of your extended hours not because of your service. They knew I couldn’t afford their $1200 per night rate for full fluids and monitoring. Because of your heartless staff my pet nearly died and needed extended care. They let me sit in a waiting room for 3 HOURS, knowing my dog had I injested nearly 30 ibuprophen tablets. You were contacted by Wheat Ridge animal Hospital ahead of my visit to let you know I was coming. My dog needed immediate fluids to flush his kidneys. I sat in your waiting room for nearly 2.5 hours before being placed in a room where I waited another 45 minutes. I was told before going into the room that you would most likely not admit him because he was not neutered. This was a dog in my care and not my own. I tried to leave but the staff wanted me to sign a paper stating I refused treatment and let my pet possibly die. I wasn’t going to sign something like that so stayed. By the time the dr came they were only open 20 more minutes. They put a pic line in and about 10 minutes worth of fluids, charged me nearly $500 and sent me home!!! Luckily I took him back to wheat ridge hospital whi gave him the remaining fluids. It was then morning and I took him to my normal vet, Table Mountain Vet, who continued fluids for 4 more days to prevent deadly kidney damage. They saved his life and only charged me less than this place did for 10 minutes of actual treatment!!! He lost very critical 4 hours of fluids and would have died had I not taken him back to Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital. If you love your pet please do not take them here for an emergency. There were only 2 people ahead of me when I arrived so no apparent reason for the wait. Especially when they knew what had happened. The staff is heartless Brenda Janssen Golden, Co

My puppy had parvos. The wait for us to see a vet took about almost two hours. After we got checked in, they did weigh her and she tested for parvos. What frustrated me was that they didn't even hook up the IV on her right away and they were very adamant on receiving the money first. By then, it was past a few hours, so she barely got the IV hooked in 10 minutes And later passed away. I really recommend you guys to go to a different location. I wouldn't even give them a star.

I dont like this place! My friend was babysitting Toby (MY DOG). And she took him to this urgent care place because one day his legs just stopped working. The doctor from this urgent care said we had 2 choices... 1 put him to sleep or 2 pay alot of money for a surgery. Well finally I was with toby again and i was very sad. And one of my co werkers recomended me a really good vet. So i made an appt with this other vet and he said that toby just need to do some exercises and take some medicine. That he was going to be disable for a while but slowly get bette. Well toby is doing better and slowly starting to move his legs again. It will take month maybe but we are trying. My point is that this place wanted me to kill Toby :( when it was noy necessary. I dont recomend this place at all. If you really care about your pets health... DONT TAKE HIM/HER TO THIS URGENT CARE !
