We are a local family owned full service locksmith since 1986. We provide a variety of Vehicle, Residential, Industrial and Business lock services.

Story

Desert Locksmiths is a family owned business which has been helping the Northern Nevada community since 1986. We pride ourselves on being a company where Customer Service means Timeliness, Quality, and a Friendly Demeanor. We provide a wide variety of Automotive, Residential, Business and Industrial Locksmith services.

What we Do:

AUTOMOTIVE:

We address the full range of automotive security problems or situations that can arise, from lost or stolen keys, to damaged or worn locks and ignitions. We will rekey, service or replace your lock system. We can get you in, or keep them out!

KEYS LOST OR STOLEN?
We can originate keys to operate existing locks or we can change the system so that the lost keys will no longer fit.

BREAK A KEY IN THE LOCK CYLINDER?
We can remove a broken key and originate a new one.

LOCK OR IGNITION NO LONGER WORKING?
We can replace damaged or worn locks and ignitions.

KEYS LOCKED INSIDE THE VEHICLE, GLOVE BOX OR TRUNK?
We can open your vehicle and retrieve your keys.

RESIDENTIAL:

DOES IT TAKE MORE THAN ONE KEY TO OPEN ALL YOUR DOORS?
If the locks have compatible keyways, we can change all your doors where one key opens them all. If needed, we can replace non-compatible locks with compatible ones.

LEFT YOUR KEYS IN THE HOUSE OR LOCKED THEM INSIDE YOUR ROOM?
We can open your door for you and let you in.

LOST OR STOLEN KEYS?
We can let you in and make new keys to fit the existing locks, or we can rekey your locks so the old keys no longer work.

WORN OR DAMAGED LOCKS?
We can service and/or adjust your locks so they lock properly again, or replace them with new locks. (We will help you assess the needs and/or advise you about the less costly choice.)

NEED A DEADBOLT INSTALLED?
We can drill the holes and install the lock for you.

PATIO DOORS NOT SECURE ENOUGH?
We have the hardware to secure patio doors and sliding windows.

Key control is the most important aspect of your security. If you can't control who can copy your keys, you are vulnerable to loss. You are faced with the possible threat of rekeying every time you let your keys out of your sight. Desert Lock can improve the security by master keying your facility. We also offer products which protect against the unauthorized duplication of keys. With these products, Desert Lock documents how many keys are made, and who they were made for. We are the only ones who can duplicate the keys, and then only with the proper authorization.
