The have large inventory, sale prices and nice staff to help you.  The store is large and tightly packed so you my need help in locating your items.  This is a true sporting goods store.

There was 3 contributing factors as to why my experience here was not a good one. Let me first tell you, I only stopped in because I had to. I forgot my gear and had to be somewhere at a very specific time, and I did not have enough time to go home to get everything I needed and be one time. I had about a 15 minute window, which isn't a lot of time, but enough time to get what I needed, change, leave, and arrive on time.

1. I was one, of only a few customers in the store. There were probably more employees than customers at the time of my visit, and not one person acknowledged me or asked "if I was finding everything okay", "needed anything", not one. Even when I was in the shoe section holding a shoe in my hand trying to get someone's attention so that I could try it on.

2. I almost gave up on the whole shoe idea. I left the shoe and the area. After about 5 minutes I noticed someone finally in the shoe section, so I quickly went over there, the guy still didn't acknowledge me, even though I had the shoe in my hand. I had to ask him, "Excuse me, do you have this in (place size here)?"

3. I am at check out, running past my 15 minute window, and as the two employees are checking me out, (one ringing me out, a gentleman bagging my things, another employee talking to the manager behind them, and a manager) I ask and point, "Is that your dressing room?" Girl checking me out replies after some confusion, "No, our dressing rooms are over there." Points in direction of fitting rooms. I reply back, "Awesome, can I change in them?" "Sure."

I rush over to the dressing rooms, with a little confusion because I thought she was pointing to the back, but they are really in the middle (not a big deal). Both rooms said vacant, so I go to turn the door open, and it's locked (long pause). If someone asks to use something that requires someone to unlock it, would not the next step be to make sure it is unlocked? 

I walk back to the register, I have to get the employees attention, even though, I'm the only one at the register, "Can you please have someone unlock the dressing room?"

I am a very understanding person. I've worked in retail, and I know how people can be in this area. However, I will never be returning here, which is sad because Sports Chalet and other sports retail locations have been closing down. Since, I was late anyways, I will now be rushing home instead of trying to save time.

Good selection, but discount/sale section was wear we could really beat Amazon.

Jeff in the golfing section was very nice and helpful.  We bought a set of clubs and he guided us through the whole process- funding the right deals and even trimming them down to the right length.  Thank you Jeff!
