I was referred to Digestive Health Care Associates from my primary care physician after experiencing some issues with my GI system. After arriving to the facility, I was taken back to the room approximately 30 minutes after my appointment time. Once I got into the room, the medical staff was extremely rushed in seeing me and I truly felt that I did not get to even explain my symptoms before I was rushed out the door. Maureen, the NP, requested I get some lab work done to see if that could help determine what was going on. After getting the labs done, I waited two weeks to hear back from Maureen as she stated she would follow up with me after the results were made available to her. After calling the office SEVEN times (literally), I was unable to get ahold of anyone as their office uses a prerecorded message for everything. When Theresa (the receptionist) finally answered her phone, she quickly turned me over to Maureen who was UNBELIEVABLY rude. I explained that I had been calling multiple times and even enlisted the help of my mother to get the results from my lab work. Maureen did not believe that I had called the office seven times and stated, "your labs came back fine." Trying to question her further, she just kept repeating that my lab work came back without any issues. She then asked if I had completed an ultrasound she had ordered at my original appointment. I responded by saying that she [Maureen] had explained to me that Simon Med would call me to set up the appointment. In response, Maureen stated, "Usually when you don't hear from someone after two weeks, you call them." I was so taken aback by this comment that when I hung up the phone, I was just in shock. I cancelled my follow-up appointment immediately and will NEVER be going back there. After that whole fiasco, I received a voicemail from their office to ask why I had cancelled and to ask me some additional questions about my experience. I called them back and once again, was unable to reach anyone. I left a message encouraging someone to call me so I could answer their questions and am still waiting for the return call. That was one month ago. I know that this was only one situation, however I would strongly recommend that this facility be avoided at all costs.

Dr. Cruz is amazing. I love her and she does everything possible to help me after over 7 years of stomach issues. I truly love coming to see her.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Amy Solomon!!!  She cares.  She treats me like a human, not a number.  She has been the only doctor who has honed in on what my issues are and have treated them with success.  THANK YOU, DR. SOLOMON! -- Susan Wrye
