This is my local Asian market because its easy to stop by on my way home. I just came back from picking up fresh Shiitake mushrooms which is why I write this review now. The staff at Din ho have always treated me as an appreciated customer. The man at checkout today was extremely helpful. He described for me the taste, smell, and eating technique of some strange and unrecognized fruit at the counter. The first time walking in my own reservations made me feel like an outsider that shouldn't be shopping in here. After my second time going in I felt more comfortable, scrutinizing Items whose labels were illegible to me, strolling more slowly through each isle, basically taking the whole shopping experience in as a non-native speaking customer. The third time I realized one could spend hours in here examining each and every item on the shelf with welcomed glances from the staff. Places like Din ho you are reminded how wonderful a country we live in that a shopping experience like this can exist without prejudices towards it. - 3/24/18 found out today they are closing. Seeing the store half empty and dark made me feel like I was losing a friend. Goodbye Din Ho Market, Thank you for being here for me and my family. Thank you for giving me a cornucopia of spices, ingredients, and advice to expand my culinary experience. Thank you for making me feel welcome like no national chain could. May your family's future days be spent doing something that makes you truly happy.

It is not the biggest asian market in tampa bay area; however, it has all essential items at fair price. I love their fresh seafood and good selection of meat. I have been shopping since college and that is over 10 years. For me, it is huge for I now need to drive at least 45 minutes (traffic allows) but it is worth the trip. Update! I was shadowed with sadness when owner has reported that they have decided to close the store. I feel like I am losing friends. I will miss it dearly
