Of all the motels where I've stayed, I feel this to be among the most noteworthy. If ever there were a motel to be described as a diamond in the rough, this is it. Do not let the price (or neighborhood) fool you.

This felt more like a compact version of a 4 star hotel than an overnight roadside motel. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated. The shower had a high nozzle (as opposed to most motels that set them at a height comfortable only to people under 5' tall), decent water pressure, and the mirrors don't even steam up.

Also, as I usually stop in this town on road trips, it should be mentioned the least expensive gas in town is about a block away.

We stayed one night on a road trip. Staff were very friendly, polite, and professional, introduced a few restaurant in walking distance & was good. Check in was quick, our room was comfortable and clean, the pool's plus for the hot summer day. Great spot for a traveler to pull over.

FYI: it's under new management! So don't take the older reviews too seriously. I was very happy with my stay here. The rooms inside are lovely and modern, way nicer than what you would expect from a $60/night hotel. I met both managers (a husband wife team) and they were very kind, chatty, and welcoming.  Good coffee in the morning. I'll be staying here every time I come through Grants Pass!

The staff at the Discovery Inn were very nice and friendly. The bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have hoped. The showers had mold or mildew growing between the tiles. On the up side, the water was nice and hot. In general, the hotel was a good value for the cost. I would stay there again if I had the opportunity to visit the area in the future.

King bed was awesome, good wifi, and had a refrigerator and microwave. No breakfast and bathroom was small and had a shower, no tub. Overall I would stay again, price was affordable to 😊
