I recently  moved to Portage and with an ailing Father was, asking about hospital and health care.  I heard many negative reviews....well to my surprise my father took a bad turn in his health he was transported to Divine Savior and I must say he has had the most amazing care from ER to ICU. I will be writing a letter to the board/administration giving praise to ALL their employees including the caring housekeeping staff.  The nurses and CNA are professional and caring and I can honestly say they are doing this profession from their hearts. I took names and titles so they get recognized for their jobs done with profession and caring hearts. . Thank you to all of them.

Went into urgent care 3 days after a fall where I slipped on ice and hit my head on a metal chair. All they did was check my arm because that was hurting, however, the main reason I went in was because of my head. Told them of my symptoms of light headedness, dizziness, and lack of concentration, and a faint spell and they insisted that it's only a concussion and didn't do anything for it. The guy PA didn't seem to pleased that I was there because of him only being able to do certain things when dealing with USPS workers. I wanted to ask if I could just leave and go somewhere else and act like I was never because of how he acted, which seemed irritated with the get in and get out attitude. Instead of directing me somewhere else where I could get the proper help he just did what I mentioned above. If they aren't able to help they should be able to send patients to the right place. Just seemed like they just wanted to get as many patients through without a thorough examination and without the correct actions taken, which is sad.
After that I decided to go with what I should have done and went to UW Health in Madison where I got real answers.

I went to see my doctor about my birth control concerns. I was in and out of there in 5 minutes. She didn't ask me any questions or give me any information. Pretty much "you want it out, okay. You want the patch okay here's your prescription bye." It was so impersonal and I felt like she didn't want me there. The front desk forgot to set up my next appointment and I had to call later to set that up. And I couldn't get it out for 2 weeks! I'm changing to a different doctors office. Hopefully they don't treat me the same and they actually listen to my concerns.

They were able to fit me in quickly and my provider listened to me, was very thorough and included me in my plan of care. Could not have been more satisfied.
