Oak view Nursing home and rehab came highly recommended and when I toured the facility I was excited about the cleanliness, decor and the new renovations! My mother was brought in the week before Halloween and we were thrilled with the care she was receiving in the beginning and then everything started going way down hill on November 27th. My mom started to display major sings of dimensia with hallucinations and other related symptoms. I spoke to the director of nursing and expressed my worry and asked that my mom be taken to the hospital for an evaluation and her exact words to me were “ we can have her transported but they won’t do anything, it will be a waste of your time!” The following days my mom’s behavior and health seemed to be really taking a turn for the worse and I decided to bring in a Hospice rep to see if they would take my mother on as a patient to be a second set of eyes and they happily obliged. On December 19th my mom started vomiting blood and Oakview turned a blind eye and didn’t deem it necessary to call 911! On December 20th I went to Oakview because now my mother was completely unconscious and had them call 911, when we arrived at the hospital the doctors couldn’t believe the state she was in and after a cat scan it showed my mom’s brain was swelling and her skull was filling with blood! We were given a few hours to a few days. My mother passed this morning on Christmas Eve and I believe in my heart, had Oakview not ignored all the signs from the vomiting and also the broken blood vessels all over her face that showed up over night, maybe I wouldn’t be writing this. I would seriously think twice before I put a loved one in their facility! They completely ignore the wishes of the family members and let their residents sit and die!

Seemed clean there however some of the staff were rude residents looked happy as well
