Great place right on Main St in Barnstaple Village. Great menu with many choices. Have had several seafood dishes and they have all been top notch. My favorite is the almond crusted Cod. The bartender makes great cocktails, my favorite is the Black Manhattan. Warm friendly ambiance and service.

We were met at the door by staff because our room at our B & B was not ready for our wedding night, and naturally we were in our wedding clothes, but because we are recovering alcoholics, Beechwood Inn called ahead to let them know we were on our way. We were escorted quietly to a very quiet romantic tablet in the corner for yummy desert and tasty coffee, then the staff quietly let us know our room was ready and our Bill was taken care of. They then called ahead to let the Beechwood Inn know we were back on our way to them, where the staff there were waiting at the end of the driveway to ensure we found our way back in without any difficulty. BRAVO great team work in making our Honeymoon work in the March 2018 blizzard Thank you

I have never been disappointed with any of my visits to the dolphin, the food is always wonderful although it can be difficult to make a choice from your varied menu. The wait staff is always friendly, helpful and courteous. The restaurant itself is always comfy, clean and decorated very nicely. This is my all time favorite dining establishment.
