A personal favorite. Nice ambiance and good seafood. We returned here twice during our last trip to the Cape. We returned to Mattakeese Wharf during a return trip. Still great food, great water views, and great drinks. We dined in the dining room once and a second time at the bar after our whale watch trip. It is right next door from where the boat docks. The New England chowder and Cod. It's at the bar we're yummy. I also had the halibut on our first visit. It was delicious. I had a dirty martini which was excellent and fruit based martini. Both were delicious. Another favorite is the lemon drop martini.

First visit to Mattakeese Restaurant. I ordered the Mattakeese fish tacos and was pretty disappointed. I've had lots of fish tacos from different restaurants all over the Cape and these were probably at the bottom of my list. Usually fish tacos have a piece of blackened or fried fish in each taco, but these has very small fish pieces or bites. Not a good sized single fish piece to fit the small tortilla, just small bits of fish. Besides that, the lemon garlic aioli was drenched over the food. There was so much it was literally pouring off the side of my plate. Because of this the tacos were so soggy you couldn't pick them up or they would fall apart. And to top it off, they don't allow you a side (unless you want to pay extra) so no coleslaw or fries etc. So if you didn't like the tacos, too bad there's nothing else to eat. It's really too bad because it is a beautiful spot. If we ever go again I certainly wouldn't order this dish again.

Came for lunch & fish and chips good but on pricey side for small portion. Inside rug needs a good cleaning. But view is real nice on water.

Food was delicious! Ambience was wonderful! Wouldn't hesitate to go back!! Beautiful scenery, with a gorgeous sunset!

Classic Cape Cod institution. Excellent seafood and one of the best sunsets on the peninsula. The cioppino and the lobster are the stalwarts but don't pass on the carrot cake. Can be hectic during the dinner rush, reservations recommended.
