Really loved this place. The park is very well maintained, staff are great and helpful. They have special picnics depending on holiday events or for just to treat people nice. The spots are far enough apart that you still have privacy and don't have to share your morning coffee with neighbors. Amazing place at a great cost. The pool is well kept, they have an excellent fenced pet yard, putt putt golf, and plenty of space surrounding to see antelope with the morning. Amazing place

Awesome KOA. We stayed here one night in late May 2017 and were very happy with the staff and the location. We did not use many of the amenities as we were in and out pretty fast. We did use the cable TV hook up! Most TV channels our RV has ever seen lol.... But the views were really nice around the campground. Nice large pull thru site.

We only stayed one night due to travel plans but found Douglas KOA to be a very nice campground. Far enough from the highway it was very quiet. Dana and Shelby were very nice, efficient and friendly. They had just concluded the extremely busy eclipse Monday yet everything was very well kept and clean. We look forward to staying here in the future.

We stayed here in June 2017. The campground is quiet and clean and reasonably priced. Small rabbits were hopping all over the place. The bathrooms are clean and the shower pressure and temperature were good. There is a pool, with oddly blue water, but we enjoyed paddling around after a long day of driving. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you have time, drive over to Fort Fetterman, one of the many forts dotting Wyoming. They have a display telling a little about the history of the fort and other like it in the region. The Army was tasked with keeping the natives on reservations after the end of the Civil War. The Transcontinental Railroad was completed in 1869. General Custer brought surveyors into the Black Hills, in violation of the treaty in which the land had been deeded to the Lakota. They "discovered" gold, and the rush was on. The presence of more and more forts and soldiers, and the coming of more settlers brought tensions to a head at the Little Bighorn in 1876. If you visit Fort Fetterman, hike up the hill to the Pioneer Cemetery and read the names of soldiers and citizens interred there, including Frank Peacock. People who moved into the new territories were adventurous people looking for opportunity. Frank and his brother Corbert were from Lancaster England. They operated a general store in the town near the fort. Corbert left Wyoming shortly after Frank was shot and killed, and continued west. In Australia and New Zealand he and his other brother Walter developed and sold disc plows. They settled in Hawaii in time for the growth of the sugar industry, and Walter built the original Moana Hotel on Waikiki. They crossed the oceans during the great age of steamships, and they traveled across the US by train and horse-drawn coaches.

We came here with the family to watch the Solar eclipse. The camp grounds is quaint and they have horses that you can visit. I like that they provide bathroom and showers for everyone even though we had water hook up in the RV. The staff and everyone on the camp grounds are very friendly!
