Dr. Savoy is excellent. His front desk staff does need to be a little more caring, but you are in good hands when you get to Savoy!

The doctor's front desk was frigid. First appointment. First impression. Second appointment they told me come in 15 minutes early and I waited about an hour. I proceeded to the front desk and she explained the wait. I understood the wait. What should have happened after about 30 minutes or so was for someone to advise me. The option to stay and wait should be mine. These offices always want to charge you if you are late or cancel last minute. I was recently diagnosed by the doctor of a medical condition. His terminology was..."you've been dealt a bad hand". In the same visit he said it's "no big deal". When I submitted FMLA paperwork, Debbie at the front desk told me they only do those if a patient is having surgery. She made it sound like because I opted not to have surgery, they would not fill out the paperwork. I asked her for this policy in writing. There is no policy that can supercede federal law. Debbie stammered at this point and I told her I would pick up my chart and find a new doctor. I hope anyone bothering to read this understands the importance of a professional, knowledgeable front desk thawed of sounding bothered when helping people. This is a big decision in women's health. Heed my advice...keep looking. Lovely office. Large and seemed organized. Staff oblivious and icy. Doctor's bedside manner much to be desired. Would give them zero stars if an option.
