I've been getting my haircuts at this location for the past year or so and I'm always happy with what Pixie does with my hair. Prices are reasonable, even if you pay a little bit more to reserve an appointment with a specific stylist in advance vs. a walk-in

Today I got the worst haircut in my life. After the hairdresser finished my hair I told her I don’t like it and she said me to find another salon next time. She constantly had some sort of an attitude with me. The shampoo girl smelled weed and didn’t washed my hair properly. The receptionist was very kind and tried to fix the situation but it was a little too late. When I was talking to the receptionist my hairdresser showed up with “what’s wrong?” question. So now you want to know? When I tried to explain the problem I was just sent to another salon. Maybe there are other stylists who are more professional, but the one I have (blond girl in her 40s) gave me a bad time.

I have been to Dramatics three times. The first two times I got a decent cut. The third time, the hairdresser took me more than 20 minutes late and gave me a devastating cut. He sat down to cut my hair and cut way too much off in the front and none in the back. I think he spent fewer than 20 minutes on my hair and the entire time talking about how he was ready to leave the salon for the day. Then, the receptionist checked me out with a bag on his head only after the hairdresser couldn't figure out how to process my payment.

Best value for walk ins that I know of. Appointments are $10 more expensive but still reasonable. Violet in particular does a great job

My stylist Kiss always knows how to get that perfect blend of punk and professional, magic! Affordable as well, which is nearly impossible in NYC.
