I have been a client of Wellington Hair Spa for approximately 4 years. I started going to this salon to get my hair styled because I discovered that it was walking distance from my work location. I am now a regular client of Wellington Hair Spa because I believe that it is equally important to have an experienced stylist work on your hair as it is to have this experienced stylist work on your hair in a professional setting. Patrick, the owner, understands this concept. Wellington Hair spa is a professionally run salon. The decor is sleek. The space is uber clean. It is spa-like, and Patrick is respectful, and professional. Patrick is a STYLIST who has shown me that he LOVES taking care of hair. He gives impeccable cuts. When the guys working in the lower level of the nearby Home Depot stop you to say, "your hair is GORGEOUS!" and a guy yells from across the street, "love your hair, and the woman in Macy's taps you on the shoulder to say "whoever styled your hair, is GOOD," and men and women on the subway stare, and your co-workers, former and current approach you with high praise about your hair, then you have connected with the right stylist!

Great service and I’ve seen any person leave without looking beautiful. They take their time and treat your hair like royalty.

My first time at this Hair salon and I have to say it was great. I am very picky about my hair and left there feeling like a runway model. Great service!

For a trim and blow dry I was charged 150. I'll have to find other options that aren't so costly. I get they have rent but damn. I didn't leave the salon feeling my best. They styled my hair even when I said I just wanted a trim that I'm braiding my hair in a day or so. Annoying. I've been here 3 times and everyone Taj would do my hair and is leave feeling great. This time an assistant styled my hair and watched it out when I got home.

I think the website over elaborates the level of expertise and professionalism and care the actual salon gives. Reading about it twice beforehand and going in to get a trim at a natural hair salon for the first time was exciting and adventurous, but leaving and now rating the overall look of my hair and how much I spent is very very disappointing. Basically I went in for Only a trim that was wayyyyy above my expected range, I thought $25-45 max, and the owner says it was 90😕... Then I pleaded for a reduction, since I could not understand why just a simple trim, (my hair wasn't long at all) would be that expensive and being a struggling student. It came down to $50 at the final say, which was still very pricey for me, but let it go since I was already there. The part where I was very disappointed, is the level of "expertise" and "care" I expected on my hair by the professionals. There was NO heat protectant applied to my hair, which I'm now noticing the effect it has left on my hair; after 2 weeks of this trim, my hair feels soo fragile, weak and keeps breaking. The way the owner applied the heat and used it to part my hair really disappointed me, but since I thought he knew what he was doing, I trusted in his "expertise" which sorry to say, I regret now because I'm truly really not happy with my overall results. I got more hair cut off then I liked to. The professionals don't really take time to get to know your hair, you and any needs or have any feedback whatsoever, during the wash and conditioning prep to give to you. They rush through the washing so fast and roughly, I don't know why, the owner himself is not very advice-driven when it comes to mantaining the health of your hair or what you can do - besides coming to his salon - to keep up with your hair care. I have to really say he was a bit rough with the heat, pulling with the heat comb, and trimming process, it wasn't really methodical..sigh. But yes I got my long awaited for trim, but not happy with the overall handling of my hair while I was there. Owner said on the phone when I called earlier a week before coming, "we get to know you, you get to know us," but none of his professionals got to know me or my hair especially...it's just a bit overrated. And $90 is way too much for JUST a trim -even the $50 wasn't worth it. Please reconsider these prices if you want to retain customers. Thank you.
